Weissman is always scouting for dancers to help bring our designs to life. We look for talented boys and girls, ages 2-18, who share our passion for dance and love taking center stage. Apply now for this exciting opportunity to grow as a dancer. You could even be on the cover of a Weissman catalog! All dancers are paid for their time on set.
HOW DO MODELS KNOW THEY'RE CHOSEN?
There is no single day we notify models. We contact dancers as needed due to the large number of talented applicants and our ongoing production schedule. New dancers rotate into the roster from August to May. Dancers are booked only when casting age and fit align, and may need to grow into our next size before we have products available.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON SET
- A stylist will measure you for size and may pin the garments you're wearing for the best look
- Professional artists will apply makeup to your face, lups and eyes, including false eyelashes
- Your hair will be styled with heat tools such as a hair dryer or a straightening/curling iron

Dancers should have their hair neatly pulled away from their face in a high ponytail or a clean bun. Avoid wearing stage makeup; natural looks are preferred.

To be considered for the Character Edition photo shoot in Los Angeles, you must submit a self-tape. While video submissions are not required for other casting opportunities, we encourage all applicants - especially those on the West coast - to submit a solo performance, dance reel or self-tape.

Videos are dance only; no singing. We are looking for technique, personality, confidence and style. Self-tape must be submitted in MP4 format only. Focus should be on the dancer, not the background. Dance studio environment is preferred.
Dancers Ages 2-9 | Prepare a 30 second video in the style of any of the following characters: Cheerleader, Cowgirl (or boy!), or Princess. Your song choice, your personality!
Dancers Ages 10+ | Prepare a 45 second video representing one of the following musical styles: Fosse, Hairspray, or 42nd Street. Your song choice, your style!!
